Boil Water Advisory

An update from our friends at the Miami County Water Department: certain areas along 25A will have a Boil Advisory for at least 24 hours.

NOTICE TO ALL WATER CUSTOMERS LOCATED in Troy, Ohio along S. Peters Rd. and S. Co. Rd. 25a including the following subdivisions: Creekwood, Stone Circle, Merrimont, Broken Woods, Broken Woods Village, Cedar Ridge, Home Acres, Swailes Rd. east of Peters Rd. and Meadowview.

Boil water advisory is in effect starting Monday, January 22, 2018 at 8:25 a.m. due to a depressurization of the water distribution main on Peters Road due to a valve closing error.

The area of concern is for businesses and residents living in these areas.

You must boil the water (for not less than 2 minutes) or use bottled water for drinking, cooking or human consumption (including water used to make ice).

The Boil Advisory will be in effect for at least 24-48 hours. The water must be boiled during the time period until a notice has been delivered to lift the advisory.

Water line pressure has been restored and water samples will be taken to the City of Troy laboratory and will be analyzed for purity. Once we receive the results from the sample and if everything is clear we will then lift the Boil Water Advisory.

An additional notice will be given when the water use advisory is lifted.
