What Can I Recycle

 

Materials accepted for recycling through most curbside programs:

• Plastics bottles, jugs, tubs, and cups (food-grade materials only)
• Aluminum cans
• Steel cans and lids
• Cardboard (no Styrofoam)
• Glass bottles and jars (all colors)
• Newspapers
• Office Paper and magazines
• Telephone books and catalogs
• Carton containers such as milk & juice

    * Cup recycling includes plastic cups with lids, paper cups without lids, and aluminum cups.  No straws or colorful party cups. 

Unacceptable materials:

• Window glass
• Ceramic materials
• Plastic insulation
• Styrofoam
• Liquids
• Hazardous materials
• Lead acid batteries
  • Lead acid batteries are recycled through the Transfer Station at the current tipping fee.
•  Electronics
  • Electronics can be recycled through the Transfer Station at the current tipping fee, or through other community organizations.
