What Can I Recycle
Materials accepted for recycling through most curbside programs:
- Plastics bottles, jugs, tubs, and cups (food-grade materials only)
- Aluminum cans
- Steel cans and lids
- Cardboard (no Styrofoam)
- Glass bottles and jars (all colors)
- Newspapers
- Office Paper and magazines
- Telephone books and catalogs
- Carton containers such as milk & juice
* Cup recycling includes plastic cups with lids, paper cups without lids, and aluminum cups. No straws or colorful party cups.
Unacceptable materials:
- Window glass
- Ceramic materials
- Plastic insulation
- Styrofoam
- Liquids
- Hazardous materials
- Lead acid batteries
- Lead acid batteries are recycled through the Transfer Station at the current tipping fee.
- Electronics
- Electronics can be recycled through the Transfer Station at the current tipping fee, or through other community organizations.
